Where do I begin? To start with, Kellan is now 5 months old and growing bigger every day--the kid is as thick as a ton of bricks. He has yet to roll over, unlike his big sister who was rolling over by 4 months! He also has not yet mastered spoon feeding-I periodically try to offer him rice cereal a couple times a week in the morning but he still spits everything out and pushes the spoon out with his tongue--no worries, though-he's clearly getting enough calories to keep packing on the pounds! I'm in no hurry to add all of the additional feeding steps to our already hectic day, but I'm sure he'll get the hang of it at some point. He does like to practice sitting up and he's still enjoying his Jumperoo. He's "talking" more and he still is very entertained by his big sister, who loves to hold him, help feed him, and dance around to make him smile. He doesn't mind tummy time (although I'm not a huge fan since he spits up just about every time he's on his stomach, even if I wait a good hour after he eats!). He's very ticklish and he has started to recognize our faces, smiling when we walk into the room (and crying when we leave!).
Let's see..we got to go back to Philly a few weekends ago to celebrate my nephew Nolan's 3rd birthday a little early. For those of you who do not read my sister-in-law Renee's blog, we just found out that my brother, sister-in-law, nephew and niece are leaving next week to move out to San Jose, CA for 9 months! My brother has an opportunity to explore some different jobs within the company he's with and is now entering into a 2 year program where he will try out 3 different fields of work--they selected CA for their first adventure. Even though we don't see them as often as we would like, it still will be sad knowing they are all the way out on the west coast. Alex and Nolan really enjoy playing with each other, and little Mia will be so big by the time they come home! We are looking forward to seeing them for christmas and I'm hoping to make a trip out to CA to visit them in the spring sometime. Jon and Renee--we'll miss you!
Here are few pics of the kids from my parents' house during Nolan's party weekend. It was great that all 5 cousins could be there!

Last weekend we got to have Josh, Kendy, and Kaylee out for a visit. Marlon's team had an exhibition game so it was nice to spend the weekend with them. Below is a picture of Alex and Kaylee--this picture series began with Alex holding Kaylee, then trying to trap her to keep her from crawling away--I thought this particular photo captured a cute moment.
One more photo to throw in--Alex wanted to take our picture, so with a little help from me she captured this one. Notice her boo-boo on her nose? She took a dive at school when running and scraped up her nose pretty nicely. This was the day after it happened so it was a little bruised but it's looking better now! We took this photo before going to an end of summer picnic at Alex's school, which was fun. Alex was dead tired by the end of the night and threw some pretty lovely tantrums when it came time to go home, and again when I tried to get her into bed. Gotta love soccer season when I'm home by myself every night trying to get her to bed! When Marlon is home it's as simple as putting her in bed and closing the door--not quite so for me. As frustrated as I may get, I can't help but love these kids!
