Fall

I love the fall! I love that soccer season is upon us! This year the kids are another year older, and they both are enjoying going to their dad's soccer games. Alex particularly enjoys the popcorn :) and socializing with all the people she knows at the game, and Kellan loves to kick his little ball around in the grassy area next to the field. At the first game on Friday, Alex was sitting with my parents and my mom said she was intently watching the game for a bit. The other team scored and my mom said she dropped her head and said "My daddy is not going to be very happy. He's going to be mad" and that ruined it for her. She no longer wanted to watch the game after that. Fortunately, at the game on Sunday, she was watching at the very end of the game (which was tied 0-0 and was in the 2nd OT) when our team scored! It was down at our end so we got a good view, and all of the guys dove on top of each other in a big pile--she thought that was GREAT! I think that renewed her enthusiasm for the game a bit. She had been asking to go home about 10 minutes before that, and I was able to say "Look what you would have missed if we had left!"

Our family and neighbors intensely focused on the game (my dad, Marlon's dad, and our neighbors in front of them) --a record crowd, standing room only!

We are also excited that our neighbors are supporting the soccer team as well--some of them were already soccer fans, while others didn't know a thing about it, but a group of them enthusiastically came out to both games this past weekend and are promising to come to more in the future.
