God's Promise--The Rainbow

I caught a glimpse of this amazing sight out my front window this afternoon--no one else in the family was excited to look at it so I had to capture it on camera so I could share it with someone. I can't believe how brilliant the colors appear on the photos--it was pretty bright in real life but the pictures definitely make it look even more impressive. God's beauty is amazing when you take a few minutes to enjoy it. Seeing a rainbow reminding us of the promise God made to Noah after the flood...such a beautiful sight!

On a side note, Kellan's 2-week check up at the doctor went well today. In the last week and a half our little man has gone from 7 lbs., 10 oz. to 9 lbs., 1 oz.! The doctor was very pleased with his weight gain and said he is looking A-OK! We then went and had lunch at Marlon's office before heading back home. He has been sleeping great the rest of the day--the next feeding/nap will be the real test since this is often when he has a hard time going back to bed. Good night all!

i would have stared at that rainbow with you... it's mesmerizing! great photos.... rainbows are not often easy to capture on film! ** and WOW... kellan must be an excellent eater to gain that much weight in two weeks! i'm still in shock that your doctor said to stay home for 2 months.... i understand that it's cold & flu season, but 2 months? i'd go stir crazy! so i'm glad you're getting opportunities to get out and about. love you, dear friend!

It's been such a long time for me in seeing a rainbow and of that magnitude... Amazing. How beautiful is God's work!!! Thank you so much for sharing - I have to get Scott on here to see the pic's. We are so happy also that baby Kellan is doing so great. Wow - what an eater - maybe with that appetite - he'll end up a line backer instead of a soccer player - hee hee..
